From a street cart to an experience worth celebrating.
What began with a simple cart, a family recipe, and a love for making people smile has grown into something we never could have imagined.
Where it all began.
Doña Emy and Don Javi started Churros & Waffles, a small street-vending cart serving fresh churros and waffles around Cancún. It was a humble beginning, built one customer at a time — and many of those customers became part of our story.
For years, Churros & Waffles was part of the local Cancún community. Our regulars knew us, came back often, and became familiar faces behind the cart.
Then, in 2020, everything changed.
One wedding changed everything.
When the COVID-19 pandemic brought street vending to a stop, we had to step away from the streets and rethink what came next.
One of our longtime customers happened to be a wedding planner at a resort in the Cancún area. She had a couple who insisted on one thing: fresh churros at their wedding. She remembered our cart and reached out.
We had never imagined taking our churros to a wedding, but we said yes. We made a few changes to the cart, gave it a more polished look, and brought our first wedding experience to life at a resort. The response was incredible.
More than churros.
Soon, one wedding became another, and another. We realized that what we were serving wasn't just dessert — it was an experience guests could watch, enjoy and remember. That was the beginning of Oh! My Churros.
As the weddings continued, so did the requests. Guests and couples began asking, “What else can you make?” So we listened. Mini waffles came next. Then mini pancakes. Then rolled ice cream, gelato, cannolis and more.
Our menu kept growing, and eventually the name Oh! My Churros no longer represented everything we had become. We rebranded as Oh! My Desserts — a name broad enough to grow with us. And it did.
From desserts to experiences.
By 2025, our clients were asking for something beyond sweets: savory, late-night snacks. So we added four new experiences to the menu — fresh popcorn, esquites, premium ramen and marquesitas.
Today, in 2026, we begin our next chapter as Oh! My Desserts & Snacks. We've come a long way from our stainless-steel street carts. Our experiences are now presented from premium, custom-crafted booths, designed to complement the weddings and events we serve.
